Covid infects four other animals at the zoo

Minister of State Wimalaweera Dissanayake said that two orangutans and two chimpanzees at the Dehiwala Zoo have been infected with the Covid 19 virus.

Recently, a lion and a lion cub were infected with the virus at the same zoo, and both predators have recovered.

Mr. Wimalaweera Dissanayake further stated that further investigations are being carried out in this regard.
