Ranil backs female political representation interdisciplinary edu.
During a meeting with Girls' High School Kandy students, President Ranil Wickremesinghe he has expressed his commitment to increasing female representation in politics through reformative changes.
He emphasized the need for specific reforms to achieve a significant level of female participation in politics. This commitment was made in response to a question raised by a student representing the student parliament.
President Wickremesinghe also stressed the importance of providing students in arts subjects with opportunities to explore other fields like science and mathematics for higher education.
He believes interdisciplinary learning will enable them to contribute effectively to Sri Lanka's future development, aiming to become a developed nation by 2048.
