Heavy showers and winds in several areas today

Showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, the Met Department said.

Showers or thundershowers at times in the Uva, Eastern and North-Central Provinces.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the damage caused by temporarily localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
