151 arrested for violating quarantine rules yesterday

Senior DIG Police Media Spokesman Ajith Rohana stated that 151 persons have been arrested by the police for violating the quarantine laws yesterday and the total number of persons arrested so far is 52,154.

He further said that action was taken to divert more than 100 persons who had come in violation of provincial travel restrictions yesterday.

The Police Media Spokesman also urged the public to follow proper health instructions and be safe while traveling on public transport.
