Vehicle number plates delivered by post

Speaking at a function in Kandy, Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that the government is planning to implement a new program to increase the revenue of the Postal Department.

Accordingly, as a first step, programs will be implemented to distribute vehicle number plates by post.

He further said that although the annual revenue of the Postal Service is Rs. 9 billion, the cost is Rs. 14 billion and in order to increase its revenue, vehicle number plates are brought home and a small amount is charged from it.
