Three suspects nabbed with Rs. 31 million worth of Kerala cannabis in North Sea

During a routine operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy to crack down on a wide range of illegal activities including drug trafficking, three suspects and three packages containing 103 kilograms and 750 grams of Kerala cannabis were found in the North Sea.

 

It is suspected that the stock of narcotics was seized at the international maritime border and the value of the Kerala cannabis seized was Rs. 31 million.

 

The suspects, aged between 20 and 40, were residents of Paint Pedro and Kilinochchi areas and were handed over to the Kankesanthurai Police for legal action.
