Dialog Axiata is establishing 5G innovation centers at SL Universities

Dialog Axiata PLC recently created ‘5G Innovation Centres' at the Engineering Faculties of leading universities in conjunction with the University Grants Commission (UGC) to generate and cultivate interest-driven learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship for the future leaders.

These Innovation Centers aim to help students become more collaborative, computational, and entrepreneurial by offering them hands-on experience with 5G connectivity and many of its cutting-edge applications. Such as Artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, blockchain, robots, the internet of things (IoT), and other emerging technologies will help the country innovate and diversify its economy.

The formation of these 5G Innovation Centres will play a critical role in promoting the development of creative and digital sectors in the country, which is on the edge of the 4th Industrial Revolution, where 5G technology is seen as a major enabler in the networked world.
