Kotelawala Act is a Destructive Act - Sri Lanka Institute of Engineers

The Institution of Engineers of Sri Lanka has submitted a letter to President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa calling for the complete repeal of the Kotelawala National Defense University Bill.

The letter said that the opening of the Kotelawala Defense University, which was established at that time for special purposes, to the public servants and to all was destructive and that this act would be a great prejudice to the appointment of the Kotelawala National Defense University as a parallel institution to the University Commission.

The Institute of Engineers of Sri Lanka is the foremost professional body of engineers in Sri Lanka and they said that the bill should not be discussed and should be withdrawn altogether.
