Faizer and Moderna for pregnant women

The Family Health Bureau has requested the Ministry of Health to look into the possibility of administering Faizer and Moderna vaccines to pregnant women.

There are currently around 2,500 pregnant mothers infected with the Kovid virus in the country, and 13 pregnant mothers have died from the Kovid virus.

 At present, only cyanoform vaccine is given to pregnant women and 175 mothers are being treated in hospitals, said Dr. Chitramali de Silva, Director of the Family Health Bureau.
