Another consignment of sinopharm vaccine arrives in Sri Lanka day after tomorrow

The Chinese Embassy in Colombo announced that another 1.6 million sinopharm vaccines will be sent to Sri Lanka this morning as a donation from China.

The Epidemiology Unit said that 8,439,469 doses of corona vaccine have been given to Sri Lankans so far, while the number of people who received one or two doses of the vaccine was 6,693,072 and the number of people who received both doses was 1,746,397.

They further stated that most people have been vaccinated with sinopharm and that the first dose of sinopharm has been given to 4,919,323 people in Sri Lanka and the second dose to 1,346,048 people.
