The time stressed house wife’s are looking for instant products on the super market shelf’s and Harishcanadra products s emerging as a market winner. Thosai mixture,string hopper flour and hopper mixture, are among the favorite products among busy urban house wife’s.

Visionary entrepreneur

 

Harishcanadra products were setup by a visionary entrepreneur C. A. Harishcanadra from the southern town of Matara in 1943 and remains as the oldest food producer in the Sri Lankan market.

 

C. A Harishandra is credited for transferring 40 percent of company shares among his employees and fostering spirit of social entrepreneurship.

 

Corona challenges 

 

According to company chairman Maxwel Bastiansz, the company is grappling with challenges imposed by the Covid pandemic situation ,however it has been able to make gains on soap sales by 8 percent.
