WHO approves the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
The coronavirus vaccine produced by US company Johnson & Johnson, has received has been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Accordingly, its vaccine can be distributed by the international COVAX program, which is making attempts to ensure that vaccines reach the poorer countries.
It is the third vaccine to get WHO approval, after those from Pfizer/BioNTech and AstraZeneca.
Unlike other vaccines, this vaccine only needs one dose and it does not need being referigerated as cold as some others are that may ake it convenient to distribute in developing countries.
