"Roshan Mahanama to be appointed as the SL Cricket head coach" , Murali suggested

Muttiah Muralidaran, a Sri Lankan cricket hero, has urged that former cricketer Roshan Mahanama be appointed as the head coach of the Sri Lankan national side.

“He is the only person I can think of who has the ability to transform the current system. Mostly due to his self-discipline.”

“I spoke to the minister as well, and Roshan Mahanama said he needed time to think about it,” Muralidaran, who is also a member of the Sri Lanka Cricket advisory group, added.

Mahanama is regarded as a good man-manager despite his lack of coaching credentials.

Roshan Mahanama, if hired, might play a similar position to current Indian head coach Ravi Shashtri.
