Train services disrupted due to a public trade union action

The General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways says that the train service has been disrupted today (April 28) due to non-reporting of employees by several railway unions.

A number of trade unions representing all sectors, state, semi-state and private, went on a 24-hour island-wide strike today (April 28) expressing their displeasure with the government.
