Defense Minister says cases against police will be canceled if they are not investigated within six months

Defense Minister Sarath Weerasekera has said that a system will be set up to automatically cancel cases filed against police officers if they are not completed within six months.

The Minister said that human rights cases have been filed against police officers for performing their duties and steps will be taken to provide relief to such persons.
