Edu. ministry implements single end-of-year term test from 2024 onward

Starting the following year (2024), Education Minister Susil Premajayantha announced a significant change in Sri Lanka's education system. 

 

 

Students in grade 1 and above will only have one end-of-year term test, replacing the previous practice of multiple term tests throughout the year. 

 

 

Instead of continuous assessments, evaluations will be conducted after each lesson or module. This adjustment seeks to alleviate the academic pressure on students and provide a more balanced approach to measuring their progress.
