Limits of hearing

Human ear is capable of detecting sound. The sound waves with high frequency and amplitude are highpitched and loud while those with a low frequency and amplitude are low pitched and quiet. Human beings can only hear a particular range of vibrations/ frequencies. Thus, it should be noted that they cannot hear the sound of any frequency. This particular frequency range is called the “limits of hearing”. The limits of hearing is 20 Hertz to 20000 Hertz. Thus, it is clear that the human ear is not sensitive to the sounds of the frequencies that are less than 20 Hertz (20 Hz) and those that are greater than 20000 Hertz (20000 Hz). This range varies in the case of other animals. For example, the dogs can hear the sounds of the frequency that are less than 20 Hertz or greater than 20000 Hertz.
