Kathmandu air pollution closes schools
Nepal has been hit by a very high level of pollution and schools have had to close. The Kathmandu valley is full of smog and visibility has become poor.
schools have been shut down for four days.
The country of 30 million people is sandwiched between China and India, two of the world’s biggest polluters. The government’s standard level is 40 micro-grams per cubic metre and the current level is 214 micro-grams per cubic meter as measured in Kathmandu
