SLT Union to protest ‘privatisation’ in front of President’s House

The Sri Lanka Telecom Samagi Employees' Union (SLTSEU) is planning a silent protest in front of the President's House, seeking a response from President Ranil Wickremesinghe regarding the proposed privatisation of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT).
They argue that SLT's profitability and role in providing essential services to the country during various crises make it unfit for privatisation.
The SLTSEU sent a letter to the President expressing their concerns about the potential sale of SLT. Still, the Presidential Secretariat claims they have yet to receive the letter.
