Majority wants a presidential election held first - survey

A research carried out by a private firm had revealed that a majority of people in Sri Lanka want the presidential election held first.
A survey carried out by Lanka Research had revealed that only 20 percent of people want a general election to precede the presidential poll.
Around 81.9 percent of the population believes that the economy should be stabilized through converting the economy into a production based one and through enhancing
exports.
Only 34.6 percent believe in a system change while 16.5 percent believe that the nation can be developed through stringent laws.
