Rain will enhance today and tomorrow

Rainy conditions are expected to enhance in the Northern, Eastern, Uva, Central, and Southern Provinces today and tomorrow, the forecasting division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

 

Therefore, cloudy skies can be expected in most parts of the island.

 

Moreover, they said showers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern, Uva, Central and Southern Provinces and in the Polonnaruwa district, while showers will occur in the Anuradhapura district. Meanwhile, thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 p.m. 

 

Showers are likely in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces during the morning too.

 

Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the Eastern and Uva Provinces and in the Hambantota district.
