Man held for raping elderly aunt for two years

A 38-year-old man from Kekirawa has been arrested for allegedly raping his aunt, an elderly woman who was caring for her ailing brother.

 

The victim, who is unmarried, told police that she had been raped under threat of death for about two years.

 

The suspect was arrested yesterday morning and is due to be produced before the Kikirawa Magistrate's Court today.

 

The Women and Children's Bureau of Kekirawa Police are conducting further investigations.
