Speaker endorses Office of National Unity and Reconciliation Bill

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena announced today that he has endorsed the Office of National Unity and Reconciliation Bill. The Bill therefore becomes law with effect from today.

 

The Office of National Unity and Reconciliation is being set up following a resolution adopted by the UN Office of Human Rights.
