Man dies after being hit by car on Southern Expressway

A 41-year-old man died after being struck by a car while inspecting his broken-down vehicle on the Southern Expressway near Kahathuduwa 28th evening.

 

Police said the man had stepped out of his vehicle and was standing next to it when another car, travelling in the same direction, collided with him, causing fatal injuries.

 

The driver and two passengers in the second car sustained injuries and were admitted to the Homagama Hospital for treatment.

 

Kahathuduwa Police are conducting further investigations.
