New Commissioner General for DMT

Cabinet approval has been granted to appoint Kamal Amarasinghe as the new Commissioner General for the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT)

 

This decision follows a request by Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe, the current postholder, to be relieved of his duties in order to take up a position in another area of the public service.

 

Kamal Amarasinghe is a Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service and currently serves as the Secretary to the Ministry of Roads, Transport, Housing and Construction Industries, and Rural Development of the North Western Provincial Council.
