Over 12,000 people affected by drought

A total of 12,308 people from 2,295 affected families are facing difficulties due to the prevailing dry conditions disrupting their daily lives, the Disaster Management Centre said.

 

People in the Kalutara and Ratnapura districts have been reportedly affected due to the drought.

 

However, no deaths or injuries have been reported.

 

Meanwhile, drinking water is being provided to areas impacted by the drought.
