Trade Union Leader Asela Sampath arrested

The Convener of the Protection of Public Rights Movement, Asela Sampath has been arrested by the Police.

 

Police Media Division confirmed that the above arrest has been made . However, any further details in relation to the charges on which it has been made were not provided. 

 

A complaint was lodged at the CID by Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardane recently,  against Asela Sampath for allegedly making false allegations against the relief package provided by him through Sathosa .
