Mrs Sri Lanka Pushpika dedicates crown to single mothers

Pushpika de Silva who was re-crowned as Mrs Sri Lanka said she hopes to dedicate her crown for all single mothers.

 

Ms de Silva addressing the media she said she had under gone bitter experiences in life and that the events which took place at the finals was unexpected.

 

She said as far as she was concerned she still remain married, through living as a single mother.

 

She praised her parents and sister who have stood behind in moments of crisis and said that there were other single mothers like her and hopes to dedicate her crown to all of them.

 

Meanwhile Caroline Jurie, who was in the centre of the controversy and uncrowned Ms de Silva was summoned to the Cinnamon gardens police today to make a statement regarding the incident. She declined to speak to the media.

 

Meanwhile Ms Jurie has been told to submit a letter of apology over the incident to the international organisers of the event.
