Parliament approves appointment of former NP governor as EC member

The proposal made by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to appoint one member each to the Public Service Commission and the Elections Commission has been approved by Parliament.

 

Accordingly, the former Governor of the Northern Province PSM. Charles will fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Jeevan Theagarajah from the Election Commission.

 

She previously served as the Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medicine and the Director General of Customs.
