Kovid for 15 participants in the Kataragama Esala Perahera

The Covid virus has infected 11 members of a dance troupe who had left the Galle area to participate in the Esala Perahera of the Kataragama Maha Devalaya and four members of a torch group who had left the Matara area and stayed at the Young Buddhist Association Pilgrimage Hall.

According to the Office of the Director of Health Services of the Southern Province, the members of the dance troupe were confirmed to be infected during the antigen tests carried out the day before yesterday.

The Southern Provincial Directorate of Health Services further said that steps have been taken to direct the infected to the Covid Treatment Centers and quarantine their associates.
