G.L. Peiris says a large sum of money will be allocated for the forthcoming budget

External Affairs Minister G.L.  Peiris said that a large sum of money would be allocated in the forthcoming budget for infrastructure development and upliftment of public livelihoods.

 

"The forthcoming budget is expected to increase employment opportunities and increase public welfare to reduce unemployment," the minister said.

 

The Minister also said that the United Kingdom has agreed to launch several investment projects in Sri Lanka to reduce the risk of Covid.
