Showers or thundershowers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Northwestern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Heavy showers of more than 100 mm are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and in some places in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers at times in the Northern Province and in the Anuradhapura and Hambantota districts.

Winds will increase at times along the western slope of the Central Hills, North, North-Central and North-Western Provinces and in the Hambantota District. (40-50).

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
