Covid to 195 Karapitiya hospital staff

195 staff members of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital in Galle have been infected with the covid virus during the past two months, said the Director of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Galle, Dr. Shelton Perera.

This was confirmed by PCR tests conducted on hospital staff during the two months ending August 1 to September 30.

Among those infected with the covid virus are doctors, nurses and hospital junior staff, the hospital director said.
