Court demands phone records of Bathiudeen's wife

The court has ordered the report of the telephone conversations of Rishad Bathiudeen's wife and three other persons regarding the death of the 16 year old girl who worked as a housemaid in the house of MP Rishad Bathiudeen.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya ordered that the reports be handed over to the Borella Police and that the bank accounts of the intermediary who brought the girl to Bathiudeen's house as a housemaid be submitted to court.

 

After the post-mortem examination of the girl, the medical examiner said that she had been sexually abused.
