Cardinal launch a protest if no action is taken Easter Sunday attack report

Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has vowed to launch a protest campaign from April 21st onwards if no justice is provided to the families of those affected by the Easter Sunday bombings.

 

Cardinal Ranjith attending a special prayer session at the Ragama Basilica said they expect the government to initiate action against those who have been named in the Presidential Commission report on the Easter Sunday attacks.

 

The Cardinal said that by April 21, the second anniversary of the Easter Sunday attacks they expect the government to start action against those who have been named in the report while proceeding with other related investigations.

 

After the Cardinal recently called for action based on the Commission report the government appears to have expedite investigations, but whether action will be taken against all the former officers still remains a question, according to the opposition.
