Bandula sends LOD to retire from politics if justice is not done

Meanwhile, Minister Bandula Gunawardena has sent a letter of request (LOD) to Thushan Gunawardena, the former Executive Director of the Consumer Affairs Authority, who recently resigned due to 'unavoidable circumstances'.

The former executive director of the CAA's statement regarding the garlic fraud has demanded Rs. 1 billion in LOD sent to Minister Thushan Gunawardena as compensation for the damage done to his reputation and political career.

Minister Bandula Gunawardena has stated that he will resign from his ministry post if found guilty of any charge and will never return to politics.
