Anura Kumara claims Public security minister firing 'empty cartridges'

JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake has accused the Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekara of firing ‘empty cartridges’ to keep the government surviving.

He said the Minister is known to be making false statements when there was crisis, but none of the claims made by him were being fulfilled.

Mr Dissanayake said among his claims made were that the Provincial Councils will be dissolved,  the youth will be given military training, the burqa and the niqab will be banned.

He pointed out that the minister sometimes claims the statements were made in private capacity and therefore should make it clear in advance he was making personal statements.

He said it appeared that whenever the government is in crisis he comes out make statements which never takes place.
