All schools in Jaffna and Kilinochchi districts closed

The Secretary to the Northern Province Governor stated that all schools in the Jaffna and Kilinochchi districts will be closed on December 7 owing to the harsh weather conditions. 

 

A weather advisory had been issued by the Department of meteorology and it states that the current showery condition may continue futher specifically in the high risk areas of Jaffna and Kilinochchi areas. 

 

It also warned that heavy rainfalls above 100 mm are likely at certain areas.
