A new Director General has been appointed to the Department of Zoology

The Department of National Zoology stated that Sharmila Rajapaksa has been appointed as the Director General of the National Zoological Gardens.

She has previously served as the Head of Social Media at the Presidential Secretariat and will assume duties as the Director of the National Zoology Department on October 28.
