Lasse Wellander; ABBA’s guitarist bids farewell to his life journey

Even if he worked behind the screen; in the background, he performed as one of the most successful bands in music history. In fact, he accompanied the Swedish pop band, ABBA’s longtime guitarist. Since the 1970s he had been with the band and at the age of 70, he died as a result of cancer.

 

Till the end, he played the guitar and he successfully released his own album too.

    

Wellander died last Good Friday in Gothenburg, as the newspaper “Göteborgs-Posten” announced, citing Wellander’s family.
