AKD calls for Govt. to step down
Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People's Power (NPP) in the Parliamentary Opposition, has called for the Government's resignation to prevent further deterioration of the country.
Speaking at a demonstration organized by the NPP in Colombo, he accused the Government of misusing funds from construction projects and attempting to loot the Employees' Provident Fund and the Employees' Trust Fund.
Dissanayake urged the Government to leave to avoid further damage to the country and stated that the NPP is ready to take on the responsibility of governing the country.
