Basil Rajapaksa returns - intends to lead SLPP campaign

Former Finance Minister and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) founder Basil Rajapaksa arrived in Sri Lanka from the USA this morning.

 

A group of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) members including party General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam, MP Sarath Weerasekera and Minister Prasanna Ranatunga were at the airport to welcome him.

 

He told the media at the airport that he intends to lead the SLPP's preparations for the upcoming elections.
