Death of European mountaineer in Kadugannawa under investigation

Kandy Tourist Police made a grim discovery as they found the body of a Danish mountaineer who had been missing since last Monday (10). The hotel owner where she was staying reported her absence to the police when she didn't return.

 

 

The 32-year-old mountaineer had expressed her plan to climb a mountain in the Kadugannawa area. However, she did not return to the hotel as expected, prompting concern and the subsequent police complaint.

 

 

Authorities are now conducting further investigations to determine the cause of her death.
