Police arrest motorcyclist who chased and shot youth in Mt. Lavinia

 The rider of the two motorcycle gunmen, who chased after a 19-year-old youth and shot him to death in broad daylight, near Sylvester Road in Mt. Lavinia on May 5 has been arrested police said. 

 

Mount Lavinia Police and Mount Lavinia Divisional Crime Detection Bureau (DCDB) personnel arrested the 45-year-old suspect from his residence at Makumbura in Homagama. 

 

Police also found dismantled parts of the motorcycle suspected to have been used in the shooting, along with two fake number plates buried in the suspect’s residential compound.
