DMT head office closed May 5, 6 for LG polls

he head office of the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) will be closed on Monday (5) and Tuesday (6) to facilitate the local government elections scheduled to be held May 6.

 

Accordingly, the DMT head office at Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo 05, has been Gazetted as the polling station for Colombo East Constituency numbers 6 and 7.

 

Therefore, in accordance with Section 5 of the Parliamentary Elections Act No. 01 of 1981, the Narahenpita Motor Traffic Department will be closed for general duties on Tuesday, May 6 and on Monday may 5, the day before the election.

 

The department kindly requests the public to take note of this in order to avoid any inconvenience.
