President wanted me to abolish interim committee - Roshan Ranasinghe

President Ranil Wickremesinghe wanted me to abolish the interim committee when he met me after the Cabinet meeting yesterday, Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe told Parliament today.

 

"The President said he will take over the subject of sports under his purview. Then, I told him to remove me from the Cabinet," he added.

 

"Sri Lanka Cricket is run by robbers. Therefore, I will not abolish the interim commitee. The decision of the judiciary to issue a stay order against the interim committee is to do with a conflict of interest," he also said.
