Train compartment hired for filming derails between Hatton and Kotagala

The observation compartment of the train hired for the filming of a foreign movie derailed between Hatton and Kotagala railway stations this evening, the Railways Department said.

 

They said six compartments had been hired for filming purposes from January 24 to 29.

 

The compartment derailed while on its way to Colombo after completing the filming of the train in parts, they said.

 

Train services on the up-country line have been disrupted due to this derailment, the department said.
