Parliamentary Select Committee to be appointed to probe CC - President

A separate Parliamentary Select Committee will be appointed to look into the Constitutional Council (CC) next week, President Ranil Wickremesinghe said today.

 

He told Parliament that if certain members of the Constitutional Council were resorting to sabotage, this system would not be able to continue.

 

"The IGP is not there. Judges are not there. I wonder how we can mete out justice. Neither police nor the judicial can work," he said.
