Fire engulfs private warehouse in Piliyandala

A private warehouse in the Palanwaththa vicinity of Piliyandala has been engulfed in flames, resulting in its complete destruction. 

 

According to the Piliyandala Police, the fire, which erupted this afternoon, consumed the premises where crucial equipment belonging to a telephone company was stored. 

 

Authorities disclosed that approximately ten fire trucks from Kotte, Dehiwala, and the Colombo Municipality rushed to the scene to combat the blaze.

 

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained while further investigations are underway.
