CEB to respond to Namal with clarification

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) plans to address Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Government Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa's query about an alleged unsettled electricity bill.
Rajapaksa sought clarification from the CEB Chairman regarding reports of Rs—2.6 million outstanding bills. In response, CEB Chairman Nalinda Illangakoon stated that the board would provide clarification after reviewing relevant documents.
The issue was raised by Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) member Nalin Hewage, who obtained information through a Right to Information (RTI) inquiry, revealing that the bill remained unpaid despite multiple requests. Namal Rajapaksa requested the CEB to share bill details with the JVP member.
